In today's episode, Jamie and Guy welcome guest Russell T. Osguthorpe, an instructional psychologist, former college professor at BYU and author of several books, to discuss attachment theory in adults. Dr. Osguthorpe explains that attachment theory originally focused on infants and children but in more recent years has expanded to include adults. He explains the 4 types of attachment we can have include Secure Attachment, Anxious Attachment, Avoidant Attachment and Dysfunctional Attachment. Knowing your attachment style and the attachment style of the person you are in a relationship with can help help you better understand each other and help you to strengthen your relationship.
