Counting sheep has nothing on this week’s guest, Chrissy Lawler, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, lover of sleep, and baby sleep consultant. Chrissy explains when she began practicing therapy she started to realize that sleep issues were a common thread among all of her clients. Because of this, she decided to pursue additional training in advanced sleep medicine. She says her goal is to “take the stress out of sleep training and get everyone in the family a good night’s rest.” What began with helping adults achieve a better night's sleep, shifted to focusing on helping babies sleep when she became a mother. She says, “I started having babies and realized that I functioned 1,000x better when I had slept. I read every book I could get my hands on about sleep training and realized that, though there are differences with every baby, there are a lot of universal truths about getting babies to sleep well.” In this episode, Chrissy explains to Jamie and Guy the differences between how babies sleep and how adults sleep - and tips on how to improve both. Jamie and Guy both agreed all this information would have been so nice to have had years ago when they were newborns. To learn more about Chrissy and how to get better sleep, follow her on Instagram:
