Show Notes

On this week’s episode Jamie and Guy welcome local guest Kara Ryska - mother of four including one special needs child, Levi.  Kara is also a life coach and host of The Special Needs Mom Podcast: A place for moms to connect and grow.  Kara tells her story about when her son Levi was diagnosed with brain cancer at age two and how life has looked different since then. She explains how a couple of years ago she felt inspired to help this community of special needs moms by starting a podcast with the hope of bringing them together and creating a place they can connect. Being a special needs mom can feel alone and hard on so many levels.  Connecting with this community and helping them connect with each other inspires her everyday.  Sadly, Levi’s cancer has returned for the third time and he is undergoing brain surgery again this Thursday. Our thoughts are with Kara, Levi and their family this week 💛 To learn more about their story see the links below. We have also attached a link for anyone who would like to support Levi at this time.
